Channel Islands Trip - October 7, 2009

This movie is from a research trip from the Santa Barbara Harbor to Anacapa Island on NOAA's Channel Island Marine Sanctuary boat called the Shearwater. It includes scuba diving, Santa Barbara Channelkeeper and the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History research work and dolphins. When viewing this cip I find it facinating to hear and see the dolphins swimming, leaping, squealing and taking breaths close off the bow of the boat. It is interesting observing the dolphin behavior that I didn't notice at the time. On our way back to the harbor there was a beautiful sailing event taking place. The Santa Barbara Channel Islands are a wonderful place to visit. It was a nice trip.
