It was an intense feeling seeing all of the trees charcoal black. (much of them were oaks). However it was somehow reasuring seeing the new growth sprouting where the trunks stand in the soil.

Most of the bottom section (near the creek) of the canyon was untouched by the fire but the silt has caused poor water quality in the creek below the burn area.
